Servicing

Fire Sprinkler Servicing is a vital requirement to ensure that your fire suppression system will perform as expected in the event it is called upon to do so.

Currently the British Standard BS9251:2021 (fire sprinklers) recommends that a fire system is serviced by a competent person on a regular basis. We would suggest this should be done no less than once every 12 months.

Remember, depending on the use of the property, there could be a legal requirement for the system to be serviced, tested and certified on an ongoing basis.

Our fire sprinkler system service packages include the below.

  • Testing that the flow rates are adequate and pressure of the systems are correct.
  • Visual inspections to ensure all fire sprinkler heads remain clear and unobstructed.
  • Pipe-work, components, fittings and valves are all safe and secure.
  • The fire sprinkler control panel, audio alarms and visual warning lights (if installed) are fully operational.
  • The system is thoroughly insulated and protected from frost (where applicable).
  • The electrical supply, fuse spur and back-up battery are fully working.
  • Signage and instructions are in place.
  • Update of the fire sprinkler service record book.
  • Issue of Service certification (providing all service checks are complete).
  • Full report of service (if service fails with recommendations made based on our findings).
